Meeting Agenda

1. Take attendance-only give points to your students wearing their shirts.

2. Announce and Display House Hallways Project

• House Headquarters: Leaderboard, House member of the Quarter, House Specific Competitions, House Memes and Jokes, House Event Information

• House Trashcans: Student/ Faculty Designd, Points will be awarded for designs. 

• House Hallways: Keep your hallway clean and full of House Pride, Opportunities to decorate for Homecoming competions. display house pride, Naming of the Hallways Competiton Coming soon!

3. Discuss your House Events

• Plan- If you need to generate ideas, create media and flyers, schedules and calendars

• Staff- If you need volunteers

• Reflect- If you were to do it again? Next years event?

4. Announce Prefect/Jr. Prefect Applications come out the week after Spring Break. 

   • Current House Prefects-talk about what you’ve liked doing this year to engage 10th and 11th graders to apply!

2. Welcome your Junior/House Prefects-have them tell everyone why they are excited to be leading their house this year.

3. Discuss battle for change one last time– let them know we start next week!

4. Introduce all the homecoming initiatives–

5. Practice your chants and signs. 

Senior Prefects- 

1. Research their charity and be prepared to talk about their charity for 1-2 minutes at the next Monday Meeting (HS). 

2. Pick up the water jug from Head of House and get It decorated by Friday 9/19 with their house (materials in 105/107 as you need)

3. Pick up their spirit stick supplies from 105 and get that decorated by Homecoming week. (HERE is an example)

Junior Prefects- 

1. Research their charity and be prepared to talk about their charity for 1-2 minutes at the next Monday Meeting (MS). 

2. Create a flyer for their house/charity by Thursday. Send to Head of House or Mrs. Clement to print and hang on Friday.

3. Walk around locker bays and get them cleaned up of old/ tattered house locker decorations to prepare for all Homecoming materials going up!

Meeting Agenda

1. Take attendance, give 1 point to everyone in attendance (using the app- you can assign points for attending a house event). 

2. Pump your students up! Let them know what hand sign/ handshake/ “call sign” they should use in the hallways when they see each other.

3. Talk about Battle for change. Explain the rules of engagement for battle. Talk a little about your charity.

4. Talk about House/Junior Prefect application 

5. Ask the students to start brainstorming a House Chant.  

If you have time left over, feel free to do any of the following:

• Talk about what you hope your house looks like for the year, what are your goals as a group?

• Complete the chant together

• Start talking about engagement at events and what they are planning to attend

• Do a quick getting to know you activity- as simple as saying name and grade level, or an ice breaker if you don’t hate them.
