68 Colleges and Counting: College Representatives Visit Scottsdale Prep!

We are proud to share that we have welcomed 68 college and university visits so far this school year! From universities across the country to small liberal arts colleges, these visits have given our students valuable opportunities to explore their options, ask questions, and connect with admissions representatives.

This year’s visitors have included a wonderful range of institutions, including Boston College, Boston University, Baylor University, Northeastern University, Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, the University of Richmond, Hillsdale College, Gonzaga University, Pepperdine University, and Wellesley College, along with many others. We have also welcomed several Arizona institutions, including Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Embry Aeronautical University, and Grand Canyon University.

These visits are about more than learning what a college has to offer. Students have the opportunity to engage directly with admissions representatives, learn about campus life and academic programs, and ask questions that help them discover what makes each institution unique. Many of these representatives are also the first readers of students’ applications, making these conversations a valuable opportunity to introduce themselves, demonstrate genuine interest, and begin building a connection with the colleges they may one day attend.

Students interested in meeting with a college representative can find the sign-up sheet and see which colleges are visiting next on the bulletin board outside Ms. Hakanson’s office, where new college banners are regularly added.

We encourage students to take advantage of these visits, whether they already have a particular college in mind or are simply beginning to explore their options!

We are grateful to all the colleges and universities that have taken the time to visit Scottsdale Prep and invest in our students’ futures. And we’re not done yet! More college visits are on the way throughout the school year.

Looking Ahead: Great Hearts College Symposium on February 27

We are also excited to host this year’s Great Hearts College Symposium on February 27 at Scottsdale Prep! This college fair will provide another opportunity for students, particularly those in grades 10 and 11, to connect with college representatives, explore a wide range of institutions, and continue thinking about their postsecondary goals.

Additional details and registration information will be shared soon. We look forward to welcoming even more colleges to campus and giving our students another valuable opportunity to explore their options and make meaningful connections with college representatives.
